Emma Neuberg, Aldgate Tower photo by Cristina Schek

Emma Neuberg graduated in Constructed Textiles (PhD) at the Royal College of Art, London, in 2000. She has won several prestigious awards and is one of The Observer Magazine’s  One to Watch.

Neuberg’s work is about syzygetic forces and their oppositional pulls. Blocks of colour are dragged and pushed across paper and canvas in abstractions that merge, clash and blend. Imagined landscapes overlap in layers of oil, pastel and ink and transform into large installations.

Her most recent exhibition was a soloshow at Aldgate Tower, East London, 2018, (pictured) curated by Saff Williams for Studio 7 Projects and her first group show was Artists as Rugmakers with Ben Nicholson, Winifred Nicholson, EQ Nicholson and Tim Nicholson (1994).
