We’re delighted to announce that Arts Council England generously awarded Emma Neuberg an ACE DYCP grant for her project Painting Into Textiles. The award affords the opportunity to build upon the artist’s recent soloshows and explore the possibilities of paint and textiles for large-scale painting constructions and site-specific installations.
Her work continues to address the theme of ‘the denied voice‘ with a focus on the cultural and environmental consequences of abusive behaviors.
The artist’s close colleagues, curator Jareh Das and textiles artist, Ptolemy Mann, were also awarded grants for the same period. Das’s project is called The Post-colonial of Pain and Mann’s is Thread Painting – Exploring the Relationship between Dyeing Thread and Painting on Paper.
